Chole Masala

Made with organic chickpeas and a blend of organic spices, our Chole Masala is a wholesome and delicious choice for a hearty meal. Enjoy it with freshly baked bread or steamed rice for a truly satisfying and flavorful dining experience


2 cups organic chickpeas (chole)

3 tablespoons ghee or oil

1 teaspoon organic cumin seeds

1 organic bay leaf

2 organic black cardamom pods

2 organic green cardamom pods

2 organic cinnamon sticks

2 organic cloves

1 organic onion, finely chopped

1 organic tomato, finely chopped

1 tablespoon organic ginger paste

1 tablespoon organic garlic paste

1 tablespoon organic coriander powder

1 tablespoon organic cumin powder

1 tablespoon organic red chili powder

1/2 tablespoon organic turmeric powder

2 tablespoons organic dried mango powder (amchur)


1.Soak the organic chickpeas (chole) overnight or for 8 hours in water. Drain and rinse.

2.Heat the organic ghee or oil in a pressure cooker. Add the organic cumin seeds, organic bay leaf, organic black cardamom pods, organic green cardamom pods, organic cinnamon sticks, and organic cloves. Sauté for a minute.

3.Add the finely chopped organic onion and sauté until golden brown.

4.Add the finely chopped organic tomato and sauté until the tomatoes are soft.

5.Add the organic ginger paste and organic garlic paste. Sauté for a minute.

6.Add the organic coriander powder, organic cumin powder, organic red chili powder, organic turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Sauté for a minute.

7.Add the soaked organic chickpeas (chole) and 2 cups of water. Mix well.

8.Close the pressure cooker and cook until you hear 3-4 whistles. Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.

9.Once the pressure is released, open the pressure cooker and add the organic dried mango powder (amchur). Mix well.

10.Garnish with organic chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with organic rice or organic naan.
